Contractors Succeed with LiUNA
As a partner with LiUNA, contractors receive the best trained, highest skilled, hardest working people in the industry with top notch training facilities in Mt Sterling, Illinois and right here in Marion, Illinois. Our training meets or exceeds OSHA, EPA and other regulatory standards and comply with drug free testing programs.
You also have access to our Market Expansion Program (MEP) which allows users to conduct specified market research and project tracking, resulting in an impressive amount of detailed results. The program also houses our Project Labor Agreement Reference Guide, as well as our LECET Business Advantage materials and our Business News Service. It is available to all of our Signatory Contractors, and currently has details on over 700,000 jobs with a total dollar value of over $1 trillion.
All of our signatory contractors have a voice on issues of importance to the entire construction industry – including fighting for fair and comprehensive immigration reform, infrastructure investment that will make America more competitive and create good jobs, and protecting laws such as the Davis Bacon Act. Affordable health insurance for construction workers and, in many instances, also other company employees.
The Laborers' and Employers Education and Trust (LECET) brings laborers and contractors together to address the issues that are important to both Union and Employers. LECET works to identify new and emerging markets and position LIUNA and its signatory contractors to capitalize on those opportunities. LECET was developed to give LIUNA and signatory contractors a competitive edge.
LECET is governed by a board of Labor and Management Trustees all of which deliver services to LIUNA and signatory contractors at the national, regional, district council and local union levels.
In addition, LiUNA also provides assistance to firms in accessing capital and bonding resources, providing marketing support, and navigation of MBE/DB certification processes and a commitment to diversity and community unparalleled in the industry.
