Edward M. Smith Golf Tournament

To benefit the Connell F. Smith-Homer Brown Scholarship Fund

Dear Colleagues, Friends and Supporters:

We are pleased to announce that we will once again hold our Annual Edward M. Smith Charitable Golf Tournament!

As you know, the Edward M. Smith Charitable Golf Tournament is our only means to provide the funding for our Connell F. Smith-Homer Brown Scholarship Fund. Our 2021 scholarship fund will grant nearly $60,000 to 36 individual college students that will be attending school in the fall of 2021. Our recipients of these scholarships must meet several academic requirements, but above all they must be a student who gives back to their community, an important characteristic of those affiliated with Local 773. This year, our recipients have been working by our side at our Laborers’ Pandemic Food Distributions, helping us supply over one million pounds of food weekly to aid residents as they cope with the hardships brought by the pandemic.

Team sponsorship is available along with 4 levels of sponsorship. Please refer to the enclosed flyer for the tournament specifics and registration information for this year’s tournament.

Checks can be made payable to “The Connell F. Smith-Homer Brown Scholarship Fund," mailing address 5102 Ed Smith Way, Marion, Illinois 62959.

Once again, thank you for your continued support for our Scholarship Fund. Our organization is a 501(c3) charitable fund. We hope to see you in June at Hickory Ridge in Carbondale for a fun filled day of golf!
